Succeeding Beyond Borders Conference 28 May 2027

Welcome to the Succeeding Beyond Borders Conference (SBBC) 2027!

The SBBC is a biennial multicultural event that celebrates the diversity, resilience, achievements and contributions of African communities in Australia and beyond. The conference promotes professional and career excellence, entrepreneurship, advocacy, leadership development, youth empowerment, mentorship, community engagement, strategic partnerships, multiculturalism and social cohesion.

The conference brings together a diverse network of government representatives, professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, community and faith leaders, young people and emerging leaders from African and broader multicultural backgrounds. It provides an inclusive platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge-sharing, networking and collaboration at local, national and international levels, while strengthening connections across cultures, generations and communities. Together, we aim to build bridges, unlock opportunities and empower communities for a more inclusive and prosperous future.

The Gala Dinner offers a special opportunity to celebrate African excellence, cultural diversity and community achievements, while sharing a meal, recognising outstanding contributions, fostering meaningful relationships and strengthening existing and emerging professional and community networks.

Following the conference, delegates are warmly invited to attend the Africa Day Festival on Saturday, 29 May 2027, hosted by the Queensland African Communities Council and Village Support Limited. This vibrant multicultural celebration showcases the rich cultural heritage, traditions, talents and contributions of African communities, while promoting intercultural understanding, unity, belonging and social cohesion across Australia.
