Success Series - Volunteer Management Workshop
Event description
Volunteering is a wonderful way to commit to meaningful action by helping others, while also improving your own mental health and well-being.
We recognise the vital role that volunteers play in community groups and non-profit organisations. However, we also understand the challenges in finding and retaining these invaluable individuals.
That’s why we are offering this workshop to help organisations and groups recruit, retain, and recognise their volunteers. By using effective, evidence-based strategies, you can enhance volunteer experiences and ensure the sustainability of your programs.
The event will be divided into two parts:
- Jason, from St John WA Paramedic and Resuscitation Improvement Specialist Jason Belcher will be presenting on sudden cardiac arrest in the community and why first-aid qualified volunteers are necessary to help save lives, as well as the importance of publicly accessible defibrillators (AEDs) in a cardiac emergency. Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, even children - that’s why the State Government mandated AEDs in schools.
