Event description

SUDS Presents: Edward Albee’s The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?

11th, 12th, 13th, 14th of March 2025.

Chippen Street Theatre: 45 Chippen St, Chippendale.

7PM.

Runtime: 1 hour 45 minutes. (No intermission.)

The Goat, or Who is Sylvia is one of the last plays by the renowned American playwright Edward Albee. The play follows architect Martin Gray, whose life falls apart when those close to him discover that he has had a sexual affair with a goat. In equal parts tragic and comedic, The Goat, or Who is Sylvia is about discovering that someone close to you (your parent, lover, or lifelong friend) has done something so unimaginable that you just don’t know how to react. It is a play that asks questions about love, success, and social norms without offering any answers.
