Suicide Prevention Community Meeting - Port Pirie

Event description

Join the Suicide Prevention Council on Monday 23 September for the Yorke and Northern Suicide Prevention Community Meeting.

This free event brings together community voices and those with a lived experience of suicide to share learnings, celebrate achievements and foster collaboration.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the Suicide Prevention Council and engage in meaningful conversations to build a stronger understanding of suicide prevention and postvention responses.

Each year, changemakers working to prevent and respond to suicide in their communities are invited to connect, learn and inspire, helping them to better understand the real impact of their work and highlight the importance of collective impact.

The Community Meeting will feature a workshop component led by Council members. When registering, attendees should choose a ticket corresponding to their preferred workshop group:

Group 1: Building collaboration for stronger prevention. This group will focus on fostering collaboration between suicide prevention networks, local government, and other relevant stakeholders.

Group 2: Enhancing accessibility and effectiveness of services. This group will explore ways to improve both accessibility and effectiveness of local suicide prevention efforts.

Group 3: Lived experiences informing the future. This group will create a safe space for people with lived experience, and those supporting individuals living with trauma, to share their stories and perspectives.

There are limited spaces available. Register to attend today.
