SUMI 3 - Bev Frensham Cats & Pots

SUMI 3 - CATS and POTS : adding colour to things...with Bev Frensham.  This workshop is moving past just using ink and water brush drawings to adding colour techniques, including the drop method.   Those who came to SUMI 1 & 2 last year will know how relaxing & helpful Bev's workshops are.

The meaning of the name Sumi means, beautiful, elegant, refined.

The techniques have not changed for thousands of years.  The art of one simple perfect touch of ink to paper depicting nature in its simplest form.

In this short workshop there will be practice strokes taught and you will gain a feel for the Sumi Technique and create a small collection of images using ink and watercolours.

The images suggested are Cats and Pots. 

I find my mind unclutters and my attention expands, a calming practice that is also very enjoyable.

Cost includes all inks, paints, paper, upcycled materials, light refreshments plus use of art equipment. Bookings on Humanitix essential. Workshop is 1pm to 3pm.

Children under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a paying parent or adult guardian for the entire time.

It would be helpful if participants could list any dietary or access requirements.
