Summer love screen printing
Event description
Screenprinting was popularised during the wonderful pattern filled 60's and 70's, providing us today with endless inspiration for shape, colour, texture and pattern exploration. After just one day you can leave this workshop with a basic understanding of how screen printing is done on fabric using transparent binder, some hand cut stencils, basic equipment and know how.
The design thinking involved is challenging but fun and will enhance your understanding of design principles and elements. For beginners it will get the creative ball rolling along.
By the end of the day you will have produced two pieces of fabric, (each approx. 40 x 120 cm) that can be transformed into totes, small purses, cushions and more. Perfect for keeping yourself or gifting to a friend.
This small group (4-6 attendees)workshop is sure to leave you wanting to do more.
