Series Overview: The Perth Trail Series started in 2012 as a summer race series consisting of 5 short but challenging trail races in the hills surrounding Perth, Western Australia. Summer Series events range from 4 to 17 kms, with all five races having a choice of three distances. The series is designed to challenge both new and experienced trail runners, while progressively increasing in elevation as the summer progresses. We've also got a points competition so you can see your improvements. Events have limited numbers and we do sell out every event. Sign up early to avoid missing out!

FAQs:

What am I required to bring?

1. You must carry a hydration system that will hold a minimum of 500ml for the duration of the event. This could be a handheld, a pack, or a waist belt. We recommend most runners carry at least 1 ltr.

2. You must wear your race bib at all times during the event.

3. A positive, prepare for anything attitude!

What will I be running on?

Each event takes place on trails. There are long course and short course options. There are also hills. Hills make a difference when calculating times, and it usually takes a bit longer than a normal road run.

Is there an Aid Station?

On course Aid Stations will always be approximately halfway into your event. They'll be stocked with water and carbohydrates in the form of fruit and electrolytes (so bring your reusable, collapsible cup!) Depending on race day weather, a second aid station may be provided.

When do I collect my Race Bib/Race Shirt?

Race bib pickup for all Summer Series events is on race day only at the Start/Finish area from 6:00am - 6:50am.

Race shirt pickup is at the Start/Finish area at the first event.

Will I receive more information?

Yes! The Wednesday prior to the event we send out a PRE RACE email.

It will include all the specifics to help you be best prepared for the day.

What time does my race start?

7:00am Race Briefing *everyone must attend!

7:10am Black Course Start

7:25am Blue Course Start

7:35am Green Course Start

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age of 16 with permission from parent.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Transport is not included in the event registration cost. We encourage you to carpool to our events.

Parking options are in the PRE RACE BRIEF which gets emailed out on Wednesday prior to the event.

When does registration close?

Registration for Complete Summer Series 5 Pass Package closes 3 December 2019 unless sold out earlier.

Registration for individual events will remain open until the Tuesday prior to the event unless sold out earlier.

What's the refund policy?

No refund when you choose to enter the Complete Summer Series in advance.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your ticket is non-transferrable. If you wish to upgrade your distance, you will be charged the difference plus an admin cost of $10. If you wish to downgrade, no refund of entry fees will be provided.

Can I give it to a mate?

No. Your ticket, your identity.
