Summer Twilight Winery Walk

We’re excited to add a summer twilight stroll to our much-loved seasonal winery walk series. For one evening only, local winery owners will once again open their gates, inviting you to enjoy a relaxed twilight wander through beautiful vineyards and along Tucks Road.

As the sun dips low, we’ll meander through stunning scenery, stopping along the way for wine tastings and a light supper, all enjoyed in the golden hour of late afternoon and early evening. It’s the perfect way to soak up summer on the Mornington Peninsula.

What to expect

• A scenic 5.5km guided walk, through vineyards, paddocks and quiet dirt roads

• Visits to three stunning wineries, plus a surprise pop-up winery along the trail

• Wine tastings and a delicious light supper to finish

• Allow approximately 3.5 hours to complete the experience

You’ll need sturdy walking shoes, a sense of adventure, and moderate fitness, as we’ll maintain a steady pace to comfortably complete the trail.

Practical details

• Cost: $120 per person (+ booking fee)

• All-weather event: Please dress for the conditions and bring a hat, water, sunscreen, and comfortable enclosed shoes

• As we’ll be walking through vineyards, biosecurity protocols apply, including a 1cm dilute bleach footbath at the start—please choose footwear accordingly

Itinerary & parking

We will have three walking groups (4.00pm, 4.15pm and 5.00pm) and due to limited parking (carpooling is encouraged) we will have two starting points. We would also ask you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time.

• Group 1: Park and start (4.00pm) from Portsea Estate Main Ridge Vineyard (next door and a short appx 300mt walk from Ten Minutes by Tractor, where you will finish)

• Groups 2 & 3: Park and start (4.15pm & 5.00pm) and return to Ten Minutes by Tractor

Starting with a tasting at Ten Minutes by Tractor, we’ll take a short stroll next door (appx 300mt) to the beautiful Portsea Estate vineyard where we will be greeted with a lovely view over the valley and tasting. We will then wander along a gravel path through gently undulating vineyards before heading up to Tucks Road. This longer stretch of the walk (approx. 40 minutes) brings us to Ocean Eight, where we’ll relax with wine tastings and a light snack on the outdoor terrace, surrounded by natural landscapes. Note Group 1 will start at Portsea Estate and finish at Ten Minutes by Tractor with tastings and supper, with a short appx 300mt walk back to their vehicle.

On the return journey following Ocean Eight, we’ll enjoy a surprise pop-up wine tasting with one of our local wineries, before crossing the private Ten Minutes by Tractor vineyard. You will be able to take a sneak peek into the lovely kitchen garden, enjoying vistas across the valley. The evening concludes with a well-earned and delicious light supper on the terrace at Ten Minutes by Tractor, with the option to purchase a glass of wine to enjoy with your supper.
