Summersongs with Elena Perroni
Description
Celebrated international soprano Elena Perroni in recital for this one date only.
After starring as Mimi for West Australian Opera she presents Summersongs. From her adopted home of the United States, she will sing Samuel Barber's dreamy, opulent Knoxville: Summer of 1915. From Spain we offer the ever-popular Seven Popular Songs by Manuel de Falla, gossip, lullaby and revenge woven into a rich tapestry. From France you'll hear Ernest Chausson's Chanson Perpetuelle, the composer's last work, and from Brazil colourful melodic songs by Heitor Villa-Lobos. This will be an absolute treat.
Elena Perroni is already an acclaimed leading lady in the States, Australia and Europe, in opera and in concert. She made her Carnegie Hall debut singing Mozart.
