SERIES DESCRIPTION:
The Sun Run is the first event in a two-event summer series (the Sizzlin' Series), with each event visiting a separate segment of the River Torrens Linear Pathway (in Adelaide, SA). The first event - the Sun Run - follows the path along the river a bit north of the city. The second event, the City Run (3 Feb 2021), will follow the Linear Path along the Torrens River, using the Weir Loop.


COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Sun Run showcases a new course in the City of Norwood, Payneham, & St Peters. The course is a 7.5km loop along the river, a quiet scene in shady forestry. All distances less than 7.5km will do a shortened loop and all distances more than 7.5km will do multiple loops.

There will be 1 aid station on the course. It is present at the start/finish of each loop and is passed 2km into the loop. The aid station will have water, sports drink, soft drink, snacks, lollies, and first aid.

BIB COLLECTION, RACE BRIEFING, & START LOCATION

Bib collection is exclusively available on the day, starting 30 minutes prior to one’s elected distance’s start time. The race briefing begins promptly 15 minutes prior to a distance’s start time.

The start/finish line is present next to Drage’s Reserve. There is ample parking, a toilet, and a playground next to Drage’s Reserve. There is also parking available across the river at Klemzig Interchange, with a pedestrian bridge about 200m from the interchange and start.

Early/Late Starts

A two hour early start will be available to those who arrange it during registration. Late starts are available with written request and approved reason.


PRICES:

Between $5-$95, depending on distance and registration period.

GoodRunnings proudly supports Women’s Safety Services SA’s NADVS (Northern Adelaide Domestic Violence Services) to help local women and children rise above domestic violence and thrive. GoodRunnings has allocated $2 from every registration in 2020 to goes towards NADVS, with the aim of increasing it to $5 in 2021.
