Event description

Stephanie Johnston is a classical soprano who has been learning and performing music since early childhood. With a value of giving back to the community, she has spent much of the last two decades performing in solo and choir concerts for a wide variety of audiences and events both in Australia and overseas. Recent performance projects include the Riverina Conservatorium's 2024 lunchtime recital series, musical theatre productions such as Phantom of the Opera and Evita and larger-scale choral projects such as Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Faure’s Requiem. As a member of the Riverina Conservatorium's Vocal and Piano Departments, Stephanie teaches classical and contemporary voice, classical piano and directs choirs.

Her July 7 performance is a presentation of classical soprano arias, art songs and musical theatre from her upcoming AMEB Certificate of Performance programme. Woven throughout the programme will be stories of the composers and the music's history. Programme highlights include Mozart, My Fair Lady, Debussy and French and American Art Songs. Stephanie will be accompanied on the piano by the RCM's Carmel Ryan.
