About This Event
The Sunday Community Support Group (SCSG) is a group of women supporting vulnerable people experiencing homelessness and hardship in the Nowra area, helping turn lives from survival to hope.
As part of our activities, we invite you to a Community Film Event to raise awareness of the rapid increase in homelessness, especially among women over fifty-five, and to raise much-needed funds for our support work.

The Films
Frances is a short film by Australian director Sharon Lewis and Eye Candy Film Productions. It tells the story of a woman who, after a divorce, must live in her car with her dog, highlighting the hidden realities of housing insecurity and homelessness in Australia. The film has received critical acclaim and awards in London, New York, and Canada.
Linda: a short film also by Australian director Sharon Lewis. It tells the story of a woman who, after losing her husband and her home, is moving in with her daughter’s university shared house, where clashing generations and unexpected friendships help her find her footing again. In 2025, Linda was officially selected for the Palma Film Festival in Spain!
