Sunday *Material Challenge* Crafternoon: Marker Cap Madness!!!

This week's theme is... Marker Caps!!! 🖊🌈 YES, you heard it right... the material IS the theme! Lately (well, really, all the time) we've been simply overrun with marker caps. Markers dry out on us, or we find the cap and never recover the pen—and in the end, we've got caps on caps on caps! Your Chopped-challenge this weekend is to come up with inventive crafts to help use up this under-appreciated, overly-abundant, not-oft-used plastic material. A few ideas to get you going: marker cap wind-chimes! Marker cap frames! Plastic marker cap mosaics! Marker cap finger puppets! Marker cap beaded curtains! Marker cap jump ropes! MORE!!! Will you take on our eco-challenge of the week??? 🌎🌱

Crafternoon is a self-guided, themed, creative reuse craft activity with materials provided! Every week we like to pick a theme or simple project to explore. Our favorites include seasonal decor, mini race carts, dioramas, paper marbling, and unusual material challenges! Guests are welcome to make and take home as many creations as they would like.

To reserve your spot/seats in before the event, tickets can be purchased in advance through Humanitix for a slight discount ($10 plus fees). Tickets sold at the door are $12. SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expressions, so if the ticket price poses a hardship, please select the Sliding Scale ticket type on Humanitix. If you would like to contribute to someone else's ticket in addition to your own, please select the Pay It Forward ticket type and know that your contribution helps spread access to creative reuse and creative community-making! Please feel free to call the store (503-294-0769) on the day of the event if you have any questions.

All event ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you cannot make it to the event, please feel free to send a friend in your place. If you are unable to do that, we still cannot refund your ticket, but you could think of your payment as supporting our SCRAPpy little creative reuse non-profit!
