Join us on Friday evening for a special Summer DEEP YIN class, being hosted with our friends at Manumission Yoga

YIN Yoga is beneficial for everyone, regardless of flexibility, mental health or age. 'hands on' intuitive adjustments will be offered to enhance the experience.

These longer DEEP YIN classes (1.5 hours) will offer space for attendees to slow down. They are an invitation to turn inwards, and practice deep listening, while exploring subtle layers of awareness in stillness. To aid this process, we will begin with a guided meditation and finish with a longer final rest.

Each class will consist of about 5 poses and these will be held for 3-5 and sometimes up to 8 minutes. Taking into consideration human variation, a range of props are available to soften the poses, and they support each participant to feel into their own comfortable depth.

With Traditional Chinese Medicine as our map, each pose targets a specific Meridian channel. Further, by holding the poses for time, gentle pressure is being applied to the connective tissue of a specific channel / organ pairing, creating greater overall harmony.

Attendees will leave feeling revitalised, with a deep sense of calm, and improved mobility.

Equipment: all props are provided: blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps. Students are welcome to BYO their mat, and loan mats will also be available. Lockers are available.
