ABOUT THE EVENT

Fundamental Introduction To Stage Combat

At the Fundamental Introduction to Stage Combat workshop, we will cover the essentials of a fight scene, how to sell the basic strikes used, and how to safely and effectively portray action on stage.


DETAILS
  • All skill levels are welcome
  • You'll be working in close proximity to others so please be aware of personal hygiene, and ensure your fingernails are trimmed to avoid injury
  • We ask that participants come wearing clean and comfortable clothing that allows for movement

WHAT TO BRING

- A bottle of water
- A towel

Note: we will be photographing/filming parts of this workshop for promo and social media use. Please advise us if you do not wish to be filmed.


ABOUT THE COACH

Originally from Scotland, Seb studied acting at Edinburgh Acting School for four years. He has called Australia home for the past thirteen years, and since moving here he has appeared in Offspring (Network Ten), Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted To You (Nine Network), and Method (Nine Network).

As well as being a working actor, Seb is an MEAA-graded stunt performer, and has experience in both stage and screen combat on projects such as La Brea, Ricky Stanicky, and Neighbours. He has a varied martial arts background in boxing, brazilian jiu-jitsu, taekwondo and muay thai.
