Event description

Join Wit Incorporated and the amazing coach Seb Muirhead for a Sundays with Wit workshop exploring fundamentals of stage and screen combat for beginners!

In this workshop, we will be covering the fundamental needs for a fight scene. While stage and screen combat are different in their execution, the fundamentals are very similar. At this Sunday session we will cover basic strikes you can use on stage and screen, combat for the purposes of story, and choreographing a small scene.

Book via the ticket link to secure your spot, but also feel free to just show up on the date of the event!

Details:
- This workshop will run from 5.00-6.30pm, with time for introductions, questions and conversation.

- We will be filming parts of the workshop. Please advise us if you don't want to be in the video. We can certainly work around it.

- Please wear clothes you can move in, and bring a towel and water bottle. You'll be working in close proximity to others so please be aware of personal hygiene, and ensure your fingernails are trimmed to avoid injury.

- In compliance with COVID safe regulations, all participants are required to be fully vaccinated and will need to check in at the door.

Cost

The workshop is pay what you can, with a suggested amount of $12 (full), $8 (concession/unwaged/student) or $16 (solidarity - pay it forward). If you are not able to pay, you are welcome to attend the session for free. Your payment will be entirely directed towards artist fees, and will allow Wit Incorporated to continue running these low-cost sessions.

If you can't pay now but would like to offer something, we'll also have a donations jar on the door.
