Sundowner Series: Not the end of the World
Event description
Join Nature Conservation Margaret River Region to hear from Dr Sophia Callander (Australian Wildlife Conservancy) and Clare Forward (Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions).
After two sobering but informative Sundowners focused on the Big Dry late last year, we're kicking off 2025 with a deep dive into all the great work happening in fauna conservation. We hear from Dr Sophia Callander about innovative technology including AI and Drone tech used across the Australian Wildlife Conservancy's projects.
Clare is the Project Coordinator Invasive Animals at the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. She will be giving us an update on the current numbers, management and feral animal control measures underway to protect our native animals.
Our third speaker is currently being confirmed and information will be updated here promptly.
We hope you can join us for these presentations as well as a welcome update on the new Community nursery project underway in the MR Environment Centre space. (After all, our native fauna needs us all focused on native vegetation!)
Enjoy light supper, a drink, audience Q and A and become part of the conversation.
