Sundowner Series: Wooditjup Bilya
Event description
Join us for Wooditjup Bilya - the second event in Nature Conservation Margaret River Region's Sundowner Series.
After a hugely successful opening event, the second in our series of informal sundowner evenings will put the Margaret River under the spotlight. The artery of our incredible town, we invite key stakeholders to discuss the Wooditjup Bilya (Margaret River). Now 20 years since the Margaret River Action Plan was developed - with major wins and ongoing challenges - we invite you to be a part of this important discussion. Â
Do you swim in or enjoy the river? Do you live or farm beside the river? What is it about the Margaret River that matters to you?
Join Zac Webb (Undalup Association), Genevieve Hanran-Smith (author of Margaret River Action Plan, 2003, co-author of Wooditjup Bilya Protection Strategy) and Stephen Beatty (Aquatic Ecosystems Conservation, Senior Research Fellow, Murdoch University) to hear intimate knowledge of this significant body of water, threading through our iconic town and our vision for its future.
What will the next 20 years look like for the Wooditjup Bilya (Margaret River)?
We hope you can make it for a drink, light supper and audience Q and A session about the future of the Margaret River.
