Join us for a relaxed, hands-on creative day at the EATS Rosyth Orchard, combining botanical printing with mindful, nature-based making.

This workshop is designed to benefit local communities and is supported by the Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

Across the day, you will explore two complementary processes using natural materials - working with light, plants, and simple craft techniques to create both visual and tactile pieces inspired by the surrounding environment.

In the morning, we’ll focus on lumen printing and phytograms, using sunlight and plant materials to produce unique, colour-shifting photographic prints. This is an experimental, beginner-friendly process with no cameras required - just curiosity and a willingness to play.

In the afternoon, we’ll shift into a slower, reflective making session, creating small biodegradable “Mosslings” from ethically foraged materials. Inspired by folk traditions, these objects can hold thoughts or worries, and may become part of a shared installation that will eventually return to the landscape.

The workshop is gently guided throughout, with plenty of time to explore, make, and connect with the garden environment.

Lunch is included in the ticket and will be catered by EATS Rosyth.

This workshop will take place outdoors so please dress for the weather. It is suitable for artists of all levels, even if you are a complete beginner this can start you on a new creative journey.
