Travel instructions
By car, Ballarat is about 90mins whether you’re coming from Melbourne, Bendigo or Geelong - making it an easy escape into regional Victoria’s arts and culture scene. By train, frequent V/Line services connect you to the heart of Sunnyside and everything the city has to offer. The journey from Southern Cross Melbourne takes 1h15m. For more information, please check PTV or Google Maps. You can find parking at the Lydiard Street car park or the Central Square car park, both of which offer free parking for your first hour per day by signing into a meter or the CellOPark app. Once you arrive, Sunnyside invites you to wander, yet it’s delightfully compact across just a few streets. You’ll find most of the activity located in about a 10 minute stroll from the train station. If you’re local, why not ditch the car and stroll or ride into town?
