We’re excited for you to join us Chasing Sunbeams by Morag Myerscough at Sunnyside! ✨

Sunnyside is a celebration of joy, colour, and community. The installation is an art installation of structure and sound that encourages curiosity and imagination with every corner designed to spark joy and connection.

Chasing Sunbeams is inspired by the natural environment and the voices of Ballarat. Wherever possible, we have used materials that are sustainable and can be recycled. Designed to bring joy, make you smile and take a moment to reflect, this mega installation is complimented with a beautiful soundscape of voice and nature by local musician, Raul Sanchez.

A few handy tips to help make your experience even more fabulous.

ARRIVAL

Arrive 5-10 mins early! We estimate the experience will take approximately 45 minutes to experience. We’d love you to start soaking in the good vibes from the very beginning.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit for everyone, we operate on a sessional calendar, limiting the number of visitors in the space at any one time. This helps the environment feel calm, open, and welcoming, allowing you to explore at your own pace.

LOCATION

You’ll find Chasing Sunbeams by Morag Myerscough located at 12 Lydiard Street North in Ballarat, within the Mining Exchange Building.

EXPERIENCE

Chasing Sunbeams is a multi-sensory installation designed to delight without overwhelming. Gentle lighting, subtle interactive elements, and soft ambient sounds create an engaging space that is not loud or intrusive.

The venue is step-free with accessible entrances, an open layout, and a unisex accessible toilet. Companion Card holders are welcome. Accessible parking and drop-off points are nearby. Guest Services Staff will be available to visitors who require any assistance.

Due to the nature of the works being handmade, we welcome you to sit, listen, relax and reflect and kindly ask that there is no food and drink in the installation, and any touching is gentle please.
