After its well-loved inaugural edition, Sunrise festival is returning to Aotearoa in September 2022! Hosted again at ASB Waterfront Theatre in Auckland, Sunrise is a startup festival that celebrates startups and the people who build them.
In 2022, our ambition is to inspire, provoke and challenge our community to imagine what could be. Be inspired by the creative minds shaping our future, get up close and personal with NZ's best startups and meet your co-founder, mentor or new best friend.

Sunrise is created by Blackbird, a venture capital fund investing in Australia and New Zealand’s most ambitious startups. We created Sunrise in 2014 as our love letter to founders, and in the years since we’ve sold out five years of festivals, hosted more than 4000 travellers and met more incredible people than we could even count. We can’t wait to do it all over again in 2022.
