Sunrise Walk up Mt Taylor
6am start
Join Mt Taylor ParkCare group at the summit of Mt Taylor to watch the sunrise across the bush capital.
Champagne provided, BYO glass.
Wear closed shoes, hat and long pants.
This event is hosted by Mt Taylor ParkCare whose founder Anne I'ons is a long-time Kambah resident.
Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, community planting day
9am - 12.30pm, corner of Athllon Drive and Learmonth Drive.
This year marks 50 years since the first residents moved into the new suburb, Kambah. Join us in planting native grasses, trees and shrubs as part of an ongoing restoration program to improve biodiversity, and then join a local ecologist for a guided walk down Tuggeranong Creek.
Ngunawal community members will welcome everyone on Country and there will be a Smoking Ceremony.
Then do some planting, go for a walk down Tuggeranong Creek.
Wear closed shoes and a hat, bring water to drink.
Note: the nearest public toilets are at the Tuggeranong skate park (about 1 km away).
