This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Enjoy a cup of ceremonial cacao while the sun is setting behind the mystical Mount Maunganui! We will gather in Pilot Bay and make our way to nearby beautiful beach to watch the sunset, drink cacao and practice yin yoga.

Ceremonial cacao is a powerful sacred medicine that has been used for thousands years across Central and South America. Cacao is known as elixir of love as it's considered to be heart opener and afrodisiac. What is more pure ceremonial cacao in high doses can also support your spiritual magic, creativity, inner-processing and healing. Engaging with cacao enables to connect with your true self, get more clarity, set your intentions, awaken and heal.

This workshop combines cacao - the ancient superfood - with practice of yin yoga – yoga of surrender. This slow meditative style of yoga moderates stress, increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility. As we hold the postures for several minutes at the time it allows us to access deeper tissues of the body.  The aim of this practice is to cultivate awareness of inner silence, accept what is present and let go of stored emotions and tensions.

In Yogic traditions, the Yin represents the feminine energy that stands for softness, patience, love, empathy, intuition, passivity...just `being and feeling`. Cacao is also considered as feminine essence therefore in combination with this heart-opening yoga sequence it will allow us to go even deeper into our feminine energy and bring yin and yang in our bodies back into balance.

If you are called to try ceremonial cacao, learn more about its benefits and practice relaxing yin yoga join me on Sunday 23rd of January at 7pm in Mount Maunganui on the beach. You will receive more details about location after you book your spot. See you soon!
