Event description

This is our second Tramboat ride down the Maribyrnong and we are keen to share the work we are doing to advocate for our river with more people. Relax into the calm of a sunset boat trip along the Maribyrnong River and uncover the lifeblood of our local waterways. Learn about the vital role played by the river’s two major tributaries—Jacksons Creek flowing from the north-west and Deep Creek flowing from the north—and how supporting their natural flow is key to the health of the Maribyrnong River and its surrounding ecosystems.

This guided experience will explore the environmental flows and other factors that are necessary to sustain the Maribyrnong, with plenty of time for conversation and learning. Whether you’re a local or just curious, come join the community in understanding the river’s past, present, and the future we can all help shape.

You can purchase drinks on board and we will have a few nibbles to eat. Feel free to also bring your own water and snacks.

Date: Wednesday 19th March

Time: 5.30pm - 7.30pm (please arrive 5.15 for boarding)

Board: Meet at the Poyntons Landing which is opposite 104 The Boulevard, Aberfeldie
