Michael Carney is an Adelaide-based artist working across disciplines like painting, ceramics, 3D printing, installation, and virtual reality. His artwork often explores distorted landscapes, combining symbols and elements that evoke both beauty and terror, drawing from the sublime romantic tradition. His style varies from melancholic to cinematic neo-noir, encouraging unique interpretations. Carney has exhibited across Australia, with his ceramics practice being notably influenced by time spent in Jingdezhen, China
