    Event description

Finish your week in style on the Benalla Art Gallery deck, overlooking Lake Benalla, and enjoy a live set by Benalla-based DJ Stak.

DJ Stak (Sunny Chohan) originates from New Delhi, India, where his musical journey began. Introduced to various genres by his UK-based cousins in 2002, including UK Garage, Drum and Bass, UK Garage Bollywood/Punjabi, and mainstream tunes from the 1990s and 2000s, Stak’s musical palette expanded exponentially.

Raised in a household with a live-singing mother, Stak’s early exposure to music laid the foundation for his passion. As a talented drummer, he seamlessly adapted to the diverse sounds of his environment.

Upon moving to Canada, Stak transitioned to DJing, leveraging his eclectic musical influences to craft captivating sets. With over 15 years of experience, DJ Stak has become a prominent figure in Canada’s music scene. His performances seamlessly blend genres like UK Garage, House Music, Indo-House Music, Drum & Bass, and mainstream Top 40 hits, captivating audiences with their energy and fluidity. Stak’s dedication to his craft has earned him respect and admiration, making him a beloved DJ in Canada.

Sunny Chohan has called Benalla home for the past six months, becoming heavily involved in the community as a playing-coach for the Benalla Bushrangers cricket team.
