Since opening our doors in 1994, Sunshine Plaza has been at the heart of the Sunshine Coast community. We’re proud to have created a world-class experience while retaining a sense of place — a place where the Coast connects.
Sunshine Arts Fest will celebrate our region’s brightest creative young minds, showcasing their creativity and providing an opportunity for the community to connect and engage with the help of exciting augmented reality technology.
In 2023, Sunshine Arts Fest will give six high schools from the Sunshine Coast region the opportunity to create a visually engaging display at Sunshine Plaza, using augmented reality to tell their story. Schools will design and install their interpretation of our annual theme, which in its inaugural year is: Let the sunshine in.
Official Launch Event
Join us for drinks and canapés on February 15 to find out more about Sunshine Arts Fest and to be inspired. Meet our Artist Ambassador, be inspired by her onsite installation, ask questions and find out more about how your school can apply for one of six places available for the first year of the competition. Applications for the competition will officially open on the evening. Up to three representatives from your school are welcome to attend and bookings are essential.
