Sunshine Coast Community Hike

Join us for a peaceful winter morning hike along a scenic section of the Sunshine Coast Great Walk, hosted by Georgie.

Narrows & Baroon Lookouts Hike, Kondalilla National Park, QLD

Where: Meet at the trailhead, Baron Pocket Walk Parking

When: Saturday, 2nd August 2025

Time: Meet at 8:00 AM for an 8:15 AM start

Distance: ~5.5km out-and-back | Baroon Lookout

Grade: Easy–Moderate | ~1.5 hour walk

Wrap-up: We'll head down to Lake Baroon for lakeside coffee and chat ~10:00 AM

Join us for a scenic 5.5km out-and-back hike through lush rainforest in Kondalilla National Park. This moderate-grade trail winds alongside Obi Obi Creek, leading to two stunning lookouts: The Narrows and Baroon. Expect gentle climbs, shaded paths, and plenty of peaceful spots to pause and soak in the serenity of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Feeling brave? There’s a picturesque waterhole near the end of the trail, perfect for a refreshing dip if you’re game!

After the hike, we’ll make our way to the beautiful Lake Baroon for a relaxed lakeside coffee and chat.

• Swimmers + towel (if you want!)

Meet Your Host

Georgie is a full-time Zorali team member who’s been working behind the scenes for the past year and a half to help bring Zorali’s experiences to life. Based on the Sunshine Coast, she’s passionate about local adventures and spends her weekends chasing trails, swims, and hiking summits. She’s excited to step out from behind the scenes and share one of her all-time favourite hikes with you!
