Sunshine Coast InterPlay
Event description
InterPlay is an active and creative approach to unlocking the wisdom of the body.
InterPlay Australia is a vibrant and inclusive community that embodies the philosophy and practices of InterPlay, playing with storytelling, sound and movement in service of the broader community. https://interplayaus.com.au/
No experience is needed, just a willingness to play and connect.
While InterPlay is not a therapy as such, it offers many therapeutic benefits that have been shown to benefit mental health.
About your facilitator
Alee Lee is a psychotherapist, trainer and group facilitator with more than 30 years experience in the community. InterPlay’s embodied approach has been foundational as a self care practice throughout Alee’s career, nurturing her creativity and capacity to maintain a sense of playfulness in her work.
Alee is a Level 4 ACA member, supervisor and trainer who currently lives and works on Gubbi Gubbi country.
Guest facilitators will sometimes join to share their body wisdom and offer insight into the diverse InterPlay leadership body.
During this experiential session Alee will introduce you to the InterPlay principles and forms providing opportunities to co-create, experiment and play together. Participants are encouraged to wear loose clothing, and be prepared to move around the space.
What people have said about InterPlay:
After my first InterPlay class I felt that I had reconnected with all the things that make my body and soul sing!
InterPlay allows me to become calmer and more connected within my body and relaxes my mind.
Through InterPlay’s playful practices I am able to create and share stories through the entirety of my body.
InterPlay creates an open and ‘safe’ environment with no judgement. I am able to feel a surprising confidence with others, as I listen to my body I am able to move freely.
