Event description

Sunsoli

Get ready to immerse yourself in the captivating charm of Sunsoli! Hailing from the Central Coast of NSW, this 4-piece band has wowed audiences across Australia at renowned festivals such as Beyond the Valley, Mountain Sounds, and Lost Paradise. They've also supported major acts like Birds of Tokyo, The Rubens, Ocean Alley, and Winston Surfshirt.

Sunsoli's much-anticipated self-titled album is a genre-bending blend of rhythmic synths and alternative rock, with an infusion of surf rock that pays homage to their coastal roots. The album takes listeners on a journey through the softer undertones of contemporary rock, infused with vibrant colours and a profound appreciation for the power of light.

The creation of this album has been inspired by the sun's light, a fascinating yet constant presence in our lives. Sunsoli's music explores how light can play with our emotions, set a time and place, and evoke a sense of nostalgia. Each track on the album captures the essence of different colours and moods, from the energetic and vibrant feeling of the morning with tracks like "Sunlight," "Wayward," and "Where We Left Off" to the peaceful and nostalgic vibe of "Dancing Slowly" and "Some Kind of Light," which play on the cool spectrum of blues, greens, and purples. To round off the album, tracks like "In the Middle," "Daydream," and "Caught in a Moment" bridge the two feelings, capturing the blue and yellow of feeling like you're in the middle of things.

Sunsoli's self-titled album promises to be an immersive experience, transporting you to a world of colours and emotions. It's a testament to the band's unique style and dynamic stage presence, cementing their position as one of Australia's most exciting musical acts.

Kopasetic

Kopasetic is an energetic indie-roots sextet from Canberra, dosing their audiences with earthy rhythms and earnest messages over a melting pot of modern rock-reggae, soul, blues and folk. The band thoroughly explores the limits of these genres, with bone-shaking off-beat grooves, psychedelic instrumentals and soulful ballads.

Kopasetic’s original music has seen the band booked to support the likes of Kim Churchill and Jeff Lang, tour nationally and internationally, as well as draw in local crowds to their original releases and headline shows of up to 200 (the Street Theatre) and 400 (Roots & Reggae in the Forrest – Corin Forest). Their originals have been well received by Triple J, with national airtime and being dubbed ‘magnificent and beautiful’ by host Nkechi Anele. The release of their recent single 'Petrified' drew attention from BMA Magazine, who stamped the band with a five-star review.

A must-see for fans of The Cat Empire, The Tesky Brothers, Tijuana Cartel and Fat Freddys Drop.

Eden Plenty

Eden Plenty is one of Canberra’s most captivating original voices, with an affinity for powerful storytelling through song. Creating on Ngunnawal land, Eden has spent his time in the nation's capital, soaking in the sights of the area as they shape his sound.

Off the back of his balladeering folk/rock debut EP, ‘Round the Bends’ (Vacant Room Records), Plenty’s new music is a dramatic turn into avenues of blues and modern-folk/rock. The most recent single release ‘Begin To Start’, is a playful dive into the relationship between productivity and mental health infused with relatable hardship, and inspiring messages of hope.
