Cedenco Foods is a leading food ingredients manufacturer and processing
facility in Gisborne. Due to its operations, a large amount of water is
used for fruit and vegetables washing and is then discharged to the
ocean as trade waste. With the commitment of reducing its environmental
impact, the company is working with Massey University to put in place a
cost effective solution to disinfecting low clarity liquids as a
Supercritical UV treatment, together with other treatment methods, which
will achieve safe water standards and open opportunities for water
reuse.
