Amotai is proud to partner with Hard Luck Designs to bring you this Supplier Diversity Week 2026 event. Together, we are creating an opportunity to celebrate Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses, build meaningful connections, and experience supplier diversity in action.

From a side hustle born during COVID-19 to a creative agency making space for non-boring stories.

Join Hard Luck Design for an inside look at the people, culture and creative thinking behind the brand.

At the heart of Hard Luck is a belief that culture and design are intertwined. Hard Luck Design are passionate about challenging the creative industry to approach Pasifika-led design differently — creating space for culture, identity and lived experience to shape the work, rather than treating them as separate from the creative process.

What to expect

Explore how organisations can create greater value by partnering with diverse suppliers and giving creative businesses the opportunity to bring their unique perspectives to the table.

Come through, meet the crew and hear why Hard Luck is about more than design — it’s about creating space for people to tell their stories, their way.
