The MBTI® test was founded and created by the contributions and research of a mother-daughter team by the name of Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, respectively. The theory behind the MBTI test is based on the world’s population being made up of 16 different types of people—hence the 16 MBTI Personality Types.
