Join us for coffee and genuine social connection beyond the usual business stuff. 

Locally based entrepreneurs and small business owners meet at 7am @ The Steyne Hotel every Friday.

Price: We all need to purchase one of the following package deals from the Steyne Cafe to pay our way for venue hire thank you. 

Option 1: Coffee, Juice, Tart $15
Option 2: Coffee, Juice, Bagel $20

We do a round of brief introductions as a group then break away into smaller circles to connect on the human side of business. The more vulnerable part that we normally gloss over. Creating a safe space to speak and listen from the heart. Not aiming to sell or fix anything. Just turn up and be. 

Business connections, leads, sales and collaboration will come out of this if you join us on a regular basis. However, selling and passing on leads isn't the aim here. Anything that comes out this group is aimed to be organic not forced. 

This event will be facilitated by Richard Lees who is also a local business owner. He teaches both mindfulness and salsa dancing so you can be sure he has many tricks up his sleeve to help people connect and have fun. However, the floor is open to others who may wish to facilitate and lead the group. Just bring this up with the group and Rich at the next Friday event to discuss.

A brief background - extra info

Inspired by the desire to connect to people based on their human experiences through business. Richard had a really beautiful experience connecting to a friend of a friend recently who was going through the same particular business challenge. An obstacle that was all around the soft, emotional, stressful side of business. Listening, being heard and being able to connect through a shared experience really helped both business owners to feel that "oh yeah, I'm not alone" moment. Not to mention clarifying the best options for preventing the same problems occurring. This experience contrasted sharply with Richard's experience in sales focused business networking events. And is something he would love to help others experience in a more relaxed, no pressure, social environment. 

Here are the goals of this event. 

1. Local business owners to support each other beyond business.

2. Get to know one another socially in a playful, fun, sharing, learning (not lecturing) based environment.

3. Organic lead generation to come out of social connection and overlapping networks NOT by hard selling to one another or passing on mandatory leads.

4. Have fun at a weekly meeting enjoy a coffee and some food together.
