This one hour online session is designed to help educators and SSO's know what to do in the event that a student discloses abuse.
The session will include;
- How to support a child who discloses abuse - during and after the disclosure
- Your responsibility as a Mandated Notifier
- What to look out for in terms of sexualized behaviour
- How & when to take notes
- What kind of follow up is required for you and the child
- Self care
- Confidentiality issues
Places are strictly limited in order to have time to discuss scenarios and experiences you may have already had with children disclosing abuse.
