Thu, 29 May, 9:30am - 12:30pm ACST

Event description

This is the continuation of the popular introductory workshops delivered by Alice Kleinig in 2024, with a focus on specific learning difficulties (SLDs), such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, which impact on how a person learns in a specific learning area such as reading, writing or maths.

Through this workshop you will:

  • Develop your understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities, and the Disability Discrimination Act
  • Learn about different strategies for supporting learning, organisation and time management of learners with SLDs, and positive communication
  • Identify suitable adjustments and accommodations for assessment
  • Be introduced to technologies to support student success.
