Supporting CRLS Math Students: Bridging Core Concepts and Curriculum
Description
Join CSV for a workshop designed especially for our CRLS math tutors! Our presenter, Dr. Alysa Breyer, Ed.D., has been teaching math at CRLS for 17 years. She will be guiding us in better understanding the needs of struggling math students, how best to support them during your tutoring sessions, using curriculum guides to plan your tutoring, and answering your most pressing questions. She'll go over the content covered in Algebra 1 and 2 and Geometry, as well as prior knowledge necessary to access that content. She will also offer specific suggestions about how to best support students that need help with both current and prior content in tutoring sessions.
This workshop is open to all volunteers but will be most relevant to CRLS high school volunteers.
