Event description

Young people with disabilities may require specialised teaching strategies when learning about puberty, sexuality and relationships.

Our workshops are for parents, carers, students, teachers and health professionals. This workshop is not for clients. There is a limit of 3 participants from the same organisation.

This workshop provides practical information for parents, teachers and support workers to help young people understand puberty, and to help them manage this life stage with confidence.

Topics covered in this workshop include:

  • Public and private concepts
  • Body changes
  • Hygiene
  • Menstrual management
  • Masturbation
  • Sexual Health
  • Healthy Relationships

This is a full day workshop with coffee/tea and a light morning tea. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle. We have a fridge and microwave that you're welcome to use.

Please note: if you are a HCC holder 50% of the ticket price ($60) will be refunded on proof of HCC. You can upload a photo of your HCC at the time of ordering for a faster refund.

Our workshops are in person only. Due to a limited capacity within our education team, we are not able to offer online workshops at this time.
Alternatively, we offer in-person or online professional development workshops for your team or organisation. This could be one of our signature Workshops, or a custom workshop tailored to your organisation's specific needs. If this interests you, please fill out the form linked here or visit the Workshop section of our website.

We will, however, offer webinars and online module trainings in the upcoming months so we kindly ask you to keep an eye out for our newsletter.
