Working Together to Prepare CALD Communities for Floods.
Join the webinar to hear from the NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES), Bureau of Meteorology and Infrastructure NSW regarding supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities to be ready and better prepared for floods.
With a focus on communities in the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley area of Western Sydney, presentations will include:
- The high flood risk in this area
- Understanding the weather patterns that create flooding, especially East Coast Lows
- The role of the NSW SES in a flood and the types of flood information and warnings
- Campaign materials in 13 languages to support CALD communities to better understand their flood risk and steps to be ready and prepared for future floods.
There will also be time for you to ask questions and provide feedback.
