Women make up half of all academics at UTS, but representation decreases with seniority. Fewer than 40% of Professors at UTS are women. This cross-faculty panel will discuss identification of intersectional challenges through analysis of a recent academic staff survey and highlight initiatives to reduce or remove barriers to career progression.

These include

the Business School’s successful Promotion Bootcamp,
FEIT’s popular mentoring program for HDR women,
the positive impact of the Academic Women in Science network, and
structural changes to support flexible work practices in Health.
