This is a 2 hour FREE online zoom session delivered by Support Staffordshire , working in partnership with Staffordshire County Council.

Who should attend:

Staff working in Community Help Points or community hubs, Support Staffordshire Locality Development Officers and Community Champions, who wish to enhance their skills, confidence and personal impact in managing difficult conversations.

Overview:

Participants will learn about and reflect on different strategies and skills for managing difficult conversations, both over the phone and in person.

The session will cover:

Setting and maintaining healthy boundaries with customers
Effective communication styles and exploring active listening skills
Managing emotions during challenging interactions
Practical techniques to support constructive conversations
How to end difficult conversations positively, for both parties.
Training certificates will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to charge an attendee’s organisation £60 for failure to attend without prior cancellation. To avoid being charged you must provide a minimum of three working days' notice so that your place can be offered to another person.
