Councillor Adam Allan, Chair of City Planning & Suburban Renewal, Chair of Economic Development, Brisbane City Council
I have gained skills, experience and strong leadership capabilities via senior executive and consulting roles within global financial services and consulting organisations in markets including Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. I have chosen to use these skills within the political environment. I am currently Civic Cabinet Chair of City Planning and Suburban Renewal and Chair of the Councillor Ethics Committee with Brisbane City Council. I was previously Chair of the Finance, Administration and Small Business Committee, Chair of the Economic Recovery Taskforce. I am the local Councillor for Northgate Ward. I bring to the table strategic thinking with proven expertise in strategy development, solutions/innovation development and implementation. I have extensive management and leadership expertise including strategic planning, business development, product management, wealth management and marketing. I have local and international board experience and I bring these skills to my position in Northgate and indeed the wider city of Brisbane, identifying opportunities to improve the community, solving local problems and facilitating cost-effective solutions that resonate with constituents.
Martin Reason, General Manager, City Planning & Design
28 years in urban planning and design, economic development and infrastructure strategy, including 15 years in executive government roles - QLD, NSW & the UK. Experienced in infrastructure and land use coordination, grant programs, program management, and inter and intra-governmental collaboration.
Georgina Madsen, Head of Delivery, Stockwell
Georgina brings to Stockwell over 25 years of experience in property development. Starting her career as a Development Manager at Stockwell, Georgie returned in 2017 to lead the Development team. In her role as Head of Delivery, Georgie is responsible for leading the Stockwell team to deliver its $500 million+ pipeline of developments including residential apartment projects, land-lease communities, commercial office, greenfield retail and redevelopment projects of existing retail centres. Between her roles at Stockwell, Georgie spent 15 years working for Mirvac and Lendlease across the residential, retail and commercial sectors including the development of the State Tennis Centre, and the Brisbane Showgrounds precinct, a landmark placemaking project. Georgie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland and Masters of Real Estate from Bond University.
Jimmy Huynh, Project Director, CAVCORP
Jimmy has contributed to the successful delivery of over $1 billion worth of projects located across South East Queensland. Primarily focused on multi-residential development with an expertise in development management, project marketing, B2B channel sales, B2C, investment, design, finance and communication strategies. Jimmy’s record of accomplishments across a delivery of successfully award-winning developments provide an in-depth knowledge and experience in executing national and international project campaigns across the property sector. For the past nine years, Jimmy has aligned his passion and skill set to drive the growth for one of Australia's industry leading and pioneering property developers.
Ross Elliott, Chair Lord Mayor's Better Suburbs Initiative; Director of Suburban Futures
Ross has held leadership roles as CEO and Senior Executive of a number of businesses and organisations during his extensive career in the property industry. With impeccable industry and political networks, he is widely recognised for his expertise in property and urban development and brings a multi-disciplinary background covering wide range of industry professions and advisory roles from construction (led the establishment of Cockram Construction in Queensland) to design to project management (regional GM of a national PM & infrastructure business) to engineers to economists to development. He commenced his career in research and market analysis and has maintained an active and ongoing Interest in researching urban development, demography and market trends since. Ross’ interests and reputation saw him Invited by the Brisbane Lord Mayor in 2019 to Chair the newly formed Better Suburbs Initiative, which has led to substantial changes to industrial and mixed-use opportunities across Brisbane. He has written extensively on industry Issues and delivered several keynote addresses on urban development within Australian and the United States. He is also currently a director of NFP policy and research orgaisation Suburban Futures, and is involved in a number of commissioned engagements on commercial business strategy, public policy and economic development.
