SURF CLUB MURWILLUMBAH (established in 2026)

Murwillumbah has it all: the culture, the artists, the craftsmanship, the architecture, the countryside, the local products, the creatives, the babes and the beasts...

One thing is missing.
And it took us a while to put our finger onto it.

Some waves are coming to Murwillumbah.

And Surf Club will be the place for us all to come together and dance on them.

A place to celebrate each other, show off our new tricks, dress up, get silly, work up a sweat and enjoy a little nonsense together.

A place where music, creativity and community meet on the same dance floor.

For our first edition, we are welcoming:

Ellie Altenberger
Resident DJ at Sisyphos in Berlin, bringing the powerful hedonistic energy the legendary club is known for. We are incredibly lucky to catch her during her Australian tour. Expect an eclectic extended set surfing through techno, house, disco and undiscovered subgenres.

Sai Galaxy
A live electronic global-disco project blending the spirit of 1980s West African music with brilliant musicianship, modern production and an irresistible dance-floor pulse.

Jakob Jon
Curator of Sacred Hearts and a DJ who truly understands community and what it takes to bring people together. Someone who knows how to surf the waves of life.

Monsieur Diop
Curator of BareFootBeat, guiding us through the waves without a life jacket.

To complete the experience:

-Club Sandwich will transform the venue with projection mapping and an immersive light show.

-The Murwillumbah Baywatch Lifesavers will roam the space, leaving you wondering whether you are still in this world—or have slipped into another one.

A club for the whole community.

No waves. No problem.
