SURF SWAP & REPAIR MARKET
Presented by Surfrider Foundation Northern Beaches in partnership with the Northern Beaches Council.
Join us for our annual coastal community marketplace to swap, sell, repair or repurpose your preloved surf gear and support sustainable surfing on the Northern beaches.
+ Meet the shapers and makers of quality, sustainable, durable hollow-wooden surfboards, reef friendly sunscreen brands and local innovators of upcycling waste into surf art & accessories.
Soak up the winter sun and enjoy cool tunes, great coffee, and delicious eats from the wonderful local Ocean St - cafes Driftwood Cafe, Black Honey or enjoy a Surf Swap Burger special at the Narrabeen Sands Hotel. The Sands hotel will be hosting a Happy hour afterwards from 4 -6pm for everyone to to celebrate the day.

- Marketplace - Trade your preloved surfboards, stand ups & surf gear (wetsuits, fins, leg ropes, helmuts, booties, covers etc)
- Repair workshops - Learn how to do a minor board fix-up (don’t forget to bring your board
- Upcycling - drop off your end of life wetsuit at the Ripcurl collection stall
- Sustainable surf brand stalls - showcase of Australian brands leading the way with innovative sustainable solutions for reducing the environmental impact of surfing
- Learn about the carbon footprint of the surfing industry
- Creative cool surf art & accessories made from waste
- A Beach clean up with Emu Parade - Do your bit to clean up the beach in return for a free coffee or hot chocolate
- A waste free event. BYO refillable water bottle & reusable coffee cup

How it Works
General admission - free to everyone seeking to score awesome pre loved surf gear and give it another life.
Market Day Traders - Register here to trade on the day. $10 + booking fee to sell/swap your Boards/Surf gear.
Buy a ticket here to register what gear you'd like to sell. (No limit)
Bump in from 10.30am and setup is required to be complete by 11.30am, Pack down from 4pm. BYO your own market setup.
Stallholder Registration - Invitation is open to sustainable surf brands or local businesses that create surf related products from upcycling waste.

WET WEATHER AND EVENT/ STALLHOLDER & MARKET DAY TRADER CANCELLATION
In the event of a major weather event or electrical storm, the Presenters may declare the event to be cancelled.
If the event is cancelled, Stallholders & Day Traders will be notified via the email address you provided on booking by 5pm on the day prior to the event (10 August 2024).
If you have booked a Day Trader site and do not arrive at the event your ticket cost will be forfeited.
Refunds will not be provided to any Day Trader who cancels after purchasing a ticket.
INSURANCE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Stallholders and Day Traders are responsible for their property. Appropriate and current insurance should be held by Stallholders and Day traders to safe guard against any possible instance of theft, malicious damage or accidental damage to any property.
The Presenters are not responsible nor will be liable for any such incident.
