As part of the 2024 Byron Bay Surf Festival we are stoked to present our Health, Wellbeing & Performance workshops with a bunch of surfing legends. This opportunity aligns perfectly with the theme of this years festival, which is 'Rewilding'.

Rewilding is about letting nature take care of itself and encourages the conscious undoing of human domestication and returning to a lifestyle of the hunter-gatherer culture. Our workshops are designed to set you on your own journey to living a healthier lifestyle OR to help you continue on your own path through useful techniques that have been developed by former athletes who have competed at the highest level and have worked with some of the best in the world.

Joining us is 3x world surfing champion, TOM CARROLL who at 62 years of age is still surfing with peak physical fitness. Joining Tom is renowned health and wellbeing coach RODRIGO PEREZ from Holistic Pro Health on the Gold Coast. Rod has worked with a number of athletes including Gabriel Medina, Italo Ferreira, Filipe Toledo, Jack Robinson and has a deep understanding of the human body and the capabilities it has. Rod's philosophy towards health and movement can be applied to your everyday life, no matter your physical fitness level. He sets you up to become healthier and happier. Together, Tom and Rod have created a program called "The Art of Longevity" and we look forward to sharing this experience with you.

Another exciting workshop we are stoked to bring to the Byron Bay Surf Festival this year is Wave Ki. This martial art-like technique focusses on precise movements that focus on your muscle groups to perform powerful surfing manouvers. Former professional surfer Brad Gerlach developed this training and has helped a number of surfers such as Conner Coffin, Taro Watanabe and many more. In addition to the Art of Longevity & the Wake Ki workshops we will also have a yoga class, Nidra meditation & Chakra Ignition meditation happening throughout the morning.

All of the above will be happening on Saturday 17th August at the Byron Bay Surf Club.
