Surfers For Climate Board Swap- Torquay

Surfers For Climate is stoked to be hosting a Board-Swap during the Climate Revolution Market Place on April 14th. We invite you bring along your used surfboards to sell and swap with the community. 

April 14th, 2pm-5pm 

Wadawurrung Country. -Elephant Walk, The Esplanade, Torquay. 

The majority of conventional surfboards are made of petroleum based products that aren't very friendly to the environment or climate.  One of the best ways we can lessen our impact is to keep our pre-loved boards in the line-up for longer. The Board-Swap allows us to keep the stoke of riding different shapes whilst lowering our footprint on the earth. 

If you have a board lying around that you no longer use, register it here. All boards, shapes, sizes and era's are welcome. 

• Registration is free- no charge or commission, we accept donations.  
• List your asking price in registration.
• Please drop off your board at 2pm and ensure all boards are removed by 5pm. 
• Stick around, browse and negotiate your swap (or sale). If you are unable to stay for the entire event our facilitator can help. *leave board at own risk- we do not take responsibility. 

The day will also include a Sustainable Marketplace, Fossil Free Surf Session, Patagonia Fire Chats and Smoking Ceremony. Later in the evening we switch into entertainment with inspiring chats, live music and an outdoor Carpark Cinema experience playing your favourite surf flicks under the stars.
