From the ashes of Adelaide born and bred backyard music festival series - The Porch Sessions, rises Porch Records. A record store, label and now a new home for live shows in weird and wonderful spaces across Kaurna Country. Predominantly run from the home of Porch Records, Summertown Studio - a big beautiful creative space down in sunny Somerton Park, now sees this movement spreading its wings, taking on new venues for shows, activating unique spaces across the city.

Porch Records bring to you, Surprise Chef & Glass Beams - Live at The Estonian Hall on Friday November 25th. We're talkin, timber floors, a turquoise ceiling, and a disco ball of course. The space is actively used weekly for Tai Chi, Wrestling, Circus for kids and now, hopefully, a sprinkle of contemporary live music every once in a while.”

The Porch crew will roll in and do what they do best - discover beautiful spaces and fill them with an offering of quality live music, and curated local food and drink offerings. SA’s own, ‘No News’ are on the bill, rounding out a night of non-stop instrumental jazz music. Headlining is Surprise Chef, off the back of a world tour and brand new album release - Education and Recreation. And also on the line up are Glass Beams, going from strength to strength after their last play on Kaurna Country at WOMADelaide. This truly promises to be a night of great music and friends, this is not one to miss.
