Surprise Chef - Live at Summertown Studio

hello friends.

we're putting on a groovy time, 
something a little different, 
a headline show at our home in Somerton Park,
a big ole warehouse by the sea, called Summertown Studio

with some fruity funky jazzy live music, some vinyl on spin in between,
and a dream food collaboration, together with Shirni Parwana, 
- the greatest Afghan kitchen in all the land.

this will be a mighty lovely nice time.

Surprise Chef are Coburg’s cinematic soul journeymen, pushing moody shades of instrumental jazz-funk with a DIY mentality. 

DIDIER KUMALO (Adl // Tarndanya)

A founding member of Adelaide's own Shaolin Afronauts, guitarist Didier Kumalo's 5-piece side project takes the rhythms and harmonies of Guinea and classic African Jazz into a vast array of new sonic territories. Modal music for dancing.
