Update: We need to finalise numbers by 25 November so please purchase your ticket or contact us at learningcentre@mooramoora.org.au by then to express your interest.

Join in this 4 night workshop exploring more deeply what we can become outside the captive domestication of modern societies that are destroying our ecosystems and our capabilities to be fully alive. Moora Moora's powerful naturescape on top of Mt Toolebewong and our nearly 50 years of living in intentional community provides a powerful context for this event.

Survive and thrive in place will encourage participants to live and act as part of the earth community and to care for themselves, all other beings and our planet. Through spending time on holly removal, the concept of service to the world in ways that nourish and replenish rather than those which drain energy, will also be a key component of the event. The workshop will include a night of sleeping solo in the forest.

We are offering limited partially funded places in the program to those involved in environmental activism, who would otherwise be unable to attend. Interested?...Send us a couple of paragraphs on your environmental story via email to learningcentre@mooramoora.org.au Applications close 25 November 2022.

Thanks to the support of the NED Foundation, Moora Moora has been able to develop and offer this gathering.

Participants will need to bring equipment for camping open to the elements such as a swag, tarp, sleeping bag, mosquito netting and mat.

The workshop will be fully catered for a range of dietary requirements.

Book in confidence, knowing that should restrictions require a postponement, your money will be quickly and fully refunded.

Please note:
Moora Moora and its Learning Centre are located in a bushfire-prone area. In hot weather – typically late December to late March – the area may be subject to levels of fire warnings and restrictions such as total fire bans. Under very severe and dangerous conditions we may be required to evacuate all visitors from the property and mountain. We expect all visitors to respect and obey the relevant fire restrictions or rules that are in place at the time. If your group is affected by these arrangements, we will refund the appropriate expenses. Moora Moora Learning Centre programs will be cancelled on days declared Extreme or Catastrophic by the CFA.
